Broken Cisterns
Preached By William Marrion Branham,
now paraphrased to meet the conditions of our day.
THE BROKEN CISTERNS
Preached on Saturday, 23rd January 1965 at the Ramada Inn in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. (1 hour and 27 minutes) Introduced and paraphrased by Beersheba Ministries

[Editor note: Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. [13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:12-13 KJV

A fountain of living waters
For God has given us eternal life, and the fountain of that life is in Jesus Christ His Son. Whoever has the Son of God has life, but whoever has not the Son of God abides in death, no matter what religion he professes, no matter what church he attends, no matter what doctrines he conforms to … He is dead still.
Whether he professes Catholicism, Protestantism, Pentecostalism, or charismatic, it doesn’t matter. Whether he is a follower of Luther, Wesley, or Branham … That means nothing! Whoever has not the Son of God has no life! Your religion at best is a broken cistern. Your church assembly at best is a man-made cistern! Your religious school at best is a broken cistern. Your Bible School at best is a broken cistern.

Quite surprising and indeed astonishing, that a man can reject a fountain of living waters, the water of life, life eternal, and hew for himself a broken cistern which can’t have even the dirty water, leave alone clean! That is what all religions have done, Christian and non-christian alike.
The angels that fell, who sinned and that left their first estate, forsook the fountain of living waters and sought for the broken cisterns of Satan, cisterns that only contain with death.

A broken cistern like Satan’s broken cistern which angels fell for forsaking the fountain of living waters from the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Eve and Adam forsook the fountain of living waters, the tree of life, and went for broken cisterns of the serpent, a cistern that had no real water, but instead, it was a pool of death.

The sons of God in the days of Noah forsook the fountain of living waters revealed through Noah and went for broken cisterns, the daughters of Cain, the same were fountains of hybridization flowing with death.

This is just like the serpent’s broken cistern that Eve and Adam fell for, the corruption of the knowledge of good and evil, the stagnant corruptions of death.

Lot forsook the fountain of living waters revealed through Abraham and went to Sodom, seeking for man-made cisterns that were broken… cisterns that could only gush with the mire of death.

Israel kept forsaking the fountain of living waters, the revelation of the Word of life by the mouth of prophets, and they fell for Baal and Ashtoreth, the fountains of the mire of the corruption of death! In the days of Elijah, they had those broken cisterns everywhere, the religions of the dead hewed by Jezebel. They forsook the living fountain of the water of life flowing through Elijah and went for the mire of Baalism. Running after death instead of life.

The Pharisees and Sadducees rejected the fountain of life gushing from Jesus the Son of God and went after Satan’s cesspools of the by-products of the traditions of men. Jesus was all an artesian well, a never-drying fountain, yet they rejected him and went for the cistern religions. Exactly like today. All the churches have gone after traditions, after the past tense, after history, and have forsaken the promised fountain of living waters … The promise about the second coming of Jesus Christ. Branham the forerunner heralded the Day of the Lord, he was not that Day but came to bear witness of that Day, that is the true day that has the true light. That is the promise of life that Branham heralded. That is the living fountain of today. That which Branham the herald spoke about. But all churches have turned their backs on that promise, and have settled down in the world, building religions of broken cisterns.

The apostolic churches rejected Christ, the fountain of living waters, and made for themselves broken cisterns in the name of religion, and all were broken. The Eastern Catholic church, the Greek Catholic Church, the Roman Catholic Church, and the Celtic Church are all broken cisterns!

Before the apostles were taken away, the church appeared something like a stream, had some life, though a man-made pool of water, the water was clean. But immediately the Apostles left, the church fell into the hands of evil men, calling herself the Catholic Church, a broken cistern, a byproduct of dead men.

Just after the apostles had left, the cistern called the Catholic Church was broken and it dried off.

The first Reformation churches from the Lutheran revivals, the second Reformation Full Gospel churches from Wesleyan revivals, the end-time Pentecostal revival churches and the charismatic movement churches, including the present Branham assemblies are all man-made broken cisterns that cannot hold any water any longer, be it dirt or clean! If any have any water at all then it is the filth stagnant water full of all corruptions of men!
Life is progressive, life is lively, life is vibrant, life is pure, life is clean, life is holy, life is crystal-clear, life is perfect.

Life is holy, pure, clean, righteous, spotless, without any corruption.

Death is a mazy broken cistern whose water is filthy, stinking and rotten.

Quite astonishing; quite surprising; quite a wonder, yet it is true. They have all rejected Jesus Christ the fountain of life and went after religious organizations that are dead to begin with! Either dry man-made ditches or are full dirty filth mire in the name of water.

What are all pleasure pools in the world, but mires of death! What are all entertainment joints but the mires of death! What are all the religions of the world but the mires of death! All churches denying present revelation of the Word of God are broken cisterns from which you get no living water.

The living water is found in the revelation of Jesus Christ today, he is the rock, the smitten rock from which flows life! Hallelujah!

All churches have rejected the present-day revelation of Jesus Christ. They fight against it. They teach against it. They claim that the days of revelation are over. They claim that God cannot send us prophets anymore; that all we depend on are religious historical lessons of church traditions. That is the mire from the broken cisterns of serpents!

How astonishing to the heavens! it is marvelous, how people can fall for the religious lies of devils against the Word of life. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever! He is the rock of living waters. He is not a religion please, he is a person! Glory to God!

Isaiah 12:2-3 KJV
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. [3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

These blessed wells of salvation are not found in any religion whatsoever. The waters from religious organizations are stagnant and full of corruption! The blessed wells of salvation are from Jesus Christ, he is the rock of ages! Jesus the Word of life is not found in any church or organization. He is outside all of them, just the way it was at His first coming. He was outside every manmade system, so is it today!

Isaiah 55:1-3 KJV
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. [2] Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. [3] Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

There are the fountains of salvation! The living streams of life from the heart of Jesus Christ, for God dwells in Him in fullness.

Revelation 22:1-2,17 KJV
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. [17] And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.]

Lord, I believe;
Lord, I believe,
All things are possible;
Lord, I believe.

Let us remain standing just a moment and bow our heads:

Lord Jesus, we are trying in our humble way to express to You by singing this, that we believe.
And we pray, Lord, that now, that You will continue breaking the Bread of Life to us, giving to us that which we have need of out of Thy Word.

For we ask it in Jesus’ Name. Amen. May we be seated.

I’m quite sure, if we should say the all-sufficient word now of “amen,” that the August blessings of God would still rest upon this audience.

I set this morning and listened close to the service, and enjoyed the testimonies, the different ways each one has, of expressing themselves. And to hear the newcomers like the Baptist brother here, that has come to apologize for thinking that we are a little wrong.

So, I certainly appreciate the humility – somebody that can be humble enough, or gentleman enough, if he thinks he’s made a mistake. He didn’t exactly apologize to me; it wasn’t me he was apologizing to; it was to God.
So I appreciate that. See? God bless our brother and his evangelist brother.

My, that Baptist, you know, I used to belong to the Baptist church myself. I was a member of the Missionary Baptist church. When I come among the people, I know how you feel. I felt the same way, just full of something that I didn’t know.
I remember my first experience of seeing Pentecostals; it was in Dowagiac, Michigan. I beg your pardon; I’d been at Dowagiac on a fishing trip, and was coming down from Dowagiac, down into Indiana. And so I seen the names of “Jesus” all over the cars and things, and I listened to their services that day.

And the next day they asked me to come to the platform to say a few words, and I did. They asked me what church I belonged to, and I told them I was a Baptist.

And that night they had an old colored man was going to preach, and he must’ve been in his late eighties, and he come out to the platform. The old fellow, they almost had to lead him out. He was, one of those long ministerial coats on, and a velvet collar, and just a little rim of white fur hair around the side.

And I thought, “All these men here and theologians, great men, why should they let this service be given to a fellow like that? Well, the old man should be in a chair somewhere, setting down…?…”

They’d been preaching that day about what Jesus had did here on earth. But he came and took his text, I believe it was from Job 37: 20, I wouldn’t be sure that’s the Scripture.

However, this is the quotation, or some part of it, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the world, when the morning stars sang together, and the sons of God shouted for joy?”
He spoke on what goes on in heaven, while they had been speaking on what goes on in earth.

And somewhere, at about five minutes after he was speaking, the Spirit of the Lord hit him, and he jumped way up above the floor and clicked his heels together. And my, there was so much room, almost twice that I have on this platform; and he went walking off, said, “You just haven’t got enough room up here for me to preach.”

Well, I was about twenty years old then. I thought, “if that’ll do that for that old man, what would it do for me?” see?

On behalf of keeping everything just as orderly for our new brothers, that we certainly welcome them into our fellowship.

I see, I believe they had made mention of a priest setting here; I think; ‘course, being Irish, my people are mostly Catholic. And there was a few Baptists and different ones too.

You might’ve been a little confused awhile ago. I noticed none of the brethren spoke about it, but I thought I would try to straighten it out.

When Brother Shakarian… After the fine speaker here was got so filled with joy of knowing the coming of the Lord to be so close at hand, he spoke in an unknown tongue to us. And we have interpreters that gives the interpretation. Which Scripture says, “If there be no interpreter, then let them hold their peace.” But if they speak in tongues and then interpret it, it becomes prophecy.

So the little confusion of two of them at one time. Now, that wasn’t a bit confusing (See?), because one of them was giving the interpretation; the other one was prophesying. See? So that’s alright.

I thought I would let our brethren understand, if they did not understand, because one of them was correctly giving the interpretation.

Did you notice the time limits of each one? And the other one was just so filled himself, that the Spirit of God was prophesying through him – interpreting; but the other was giving the interpretation.

So that it might be clear, that we’re not confused; sometimes, to the natural mind… Just like our precious brother that given the apology this morning. It is a bit confusing to the person who doesn’t understand. But to those who are veterans of the battle that we’re in, why, we understand what these things are.

So I just thought I’d say something about it, if it was all right.

Now, I know this is no place to say this. But being that everybody’s been telling little things: You know, that fellow said, the old colored man said, “You don’t have enough room for me to preach.” But you ain’t got enough time for me to preach: am rather long-winded.

A man said one day, said, “A minister came up; he’d been a pastor at the church for twenty years. And he always preached just exactly thirty minutes each Sunday morning at his church.” And he said, “This Sunday morning, he preached three hours.”
Broken Cisterns
Preached By William Marrion Branham,
now paraphrased to meet the conditions of our day.
And so the deacon board called him in, and said, “Pastor, we really appreciate you.” Said, “We always know that you stand for the Bible and its rights.”
And said, “And you always correct us so we can be pure and clean before God.
And we really appreciate you, and we believe you’re God’s servant. And we certainly did appreciate that message this morning.”
“But”, they said, “There’s just one thing that we want to ask you about.” Said, “We timed you, as a deacon board.” Said, “Every Sunday morning you’re just exactly thirty minutes, and today you were three hours!”
They said, “Now, remember, we appreciate every bit of it. It was all right.” Just making the old pastor feel good, you know.
He said, “Well, brethren, I’ll tell you what it is.” He said, “Every morning when I’m called to the pulpit,” he said, “I put one of those little Life Savers in my mouth,” he said, “and I just suck on it.”
And he said, “When the Life Saver is done, (it takes just thirty minutes) then I stop preaching.”
He said, “You know, this morning, I thought I was a little overtime, and I spit the life saver out … Oh it was a button in my mouth instead!”
I ain’t going to put anything in in my mouth, so I hope I don’t get some buttons in my mouth instead…
I hope that didn’t sound sacrilegious here. You know, even God has a sense of humor, you know.
So we are very thankful to be here and have this time of fellowship, and with this grand privilege to break the Bread of Life once again in my own simple little way.
I know, as theologians, as that man spoke here last night from England; my, I hate to get up behind a person like that with my seventh-grade education. But I hope that God will interpret to you the meaning in my heart. If my words are not right, my intentions, I trust, are.
Now, let us read in the Scripture. Many of you would like to follow.
And I’m going to read this morning, for just a few moments from the Book of Jeremiah the prophet, the 2nd chapter, and I am going to begin now with the 1st verse.
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, and the love of thine espoused, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, and in the land that was not sown.
Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruit of his increase: all that devour him shall… and offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.
Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:
Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they have gone far from me, and walked after vanity, and are become vain?
Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, and led us through the wilderness, through the land of desert and of pits, through the land of drought, and of the shadows of death, through the land that no man passed through, and… no man dwelleth?
And I brought you into a plentiful country to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when you entered, ye defiled my land, and made my heritage an abomination.
And the priests said not, Where is the LORD? And the hand of the law knew me not: and the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
Therefore I will… plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead.
For… over this land of Chittim, and see; and in the Kedar, and consider diligently that, and see if there be such a thing.
Has a nation changed their gods, which are… no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.
Be astonished, O you heavens, at this, and be horrible afraid,… very desolate, saith the LORD.
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and have hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
May the Lord add His blessings to the reading of His Words. And I would like to take a text of that as, “Broken Cisterns.”
We were reading this Scripture this morning; of course, all Scriptures are given by inspiration. And we come to the house of the Lord for correction and for understanding.
And sometimes that we see any little thing in the way … (like this military man awhile ago was speaking to us and saying that some certain things, that perhaps maybe in some other country has a certain missile, or something on that idea, and we’ve got to find something to counteract that in a military strategy.)
Well, the same thing goes into a church and to a parish where a man is preaching, or if he’s an evangelist in the field. When he sees uprisings, and something that’s just starting, going, its infancy or whatever it is; it’s up to that man, if he is a servant of God, to block that thing so far from the people’s minds that they’ll keep away from it.
And we don’t want that to happen, for us to get into places like that.
Now, during the time of Jeremiah here, his prophecy, it had been about sixty years since the death of Isaiah. And they’d been about sixty years without a major prophet.
There was Habakkuk and some of the small minor prophets, but Isaiah was the final major prophet. And the people had, during this time to call them out, they had drifted, (yet, they were God’s people), had drifted into this state that we find them in, as Jeremiah came to prophesy to them.
And Jeremiah also prophesied before the exile, and also he went into exile with them.
And then, of course, Daniel come on after Jeremiah. And Daniel said that he had understandings by the Scripture of the seventy years that they was to be there.
Of course, there was another prophet among them, that wanted to break his yoke, as he put it upon his neck, that it would be a small thing, that, “Within two years, well, God was going to bring them all back,”
But Jeremiah knowed different from that. And we know what happened to the prophet who prophesied wrongly; he died that same year. So God wouldn’t let him stand against His Word.
And now, we also notice the conditions of the people in that day. (Now, I do not wish you to misunderstand me; I’m not aiming in what I aim to say here, some Scriptures and little notes.)
Used to be I didn’t have to write my Scriptures and things down. But after I passed twenty-five the second time, well, I don’t remember like I used to, so I write down a Scripture and kind of know from that where I’m going.
And then so much time praying for the sick, and so forth, and out and gone, I don’t have time to really study like I should do.
Now, but this great prophet of this day was Jeremiah, and he was something on the order of Amos and many of the other prophets that rose up. He was stirred when he seen the conditions of the nation.
Now, there are places, some time when you’re speaking about a nation, they might think that it’s reflecting to a certain group. It’s not that. It’s the overall picture of the nation.
And we find today, a very comparative condition today as it was in the days of Jeremiah, that the nation itself altogether has gone into, more or less, idolatry; kind of, I’d say, got away from God.
And by doing that, it’s been because of the weakness of the pulpit. Because if the pulpit would’ve stayed straight, and with the Word of God, God would be in every church like He is moving among us here. But they have led away from that.
And that’s the thing that I want to talk about this morning. And now, we find that that’s absolutely true in every age.
I believe it was Amos, as I referred to him awhile ago, that he said he was not a prophet, neither the son of a prophet. But said, that when the lion roars, who can but fear?
And if anyone ever heard a real lion roar in the wilderness, these you hear in the cages around here are just meowing. But when one roars in the wilderness, everything takes heed.
I’ve laid in the jungle to hunt them. And he’s the king of the beasts, and, when that lion roars, even the beetles stop hollering; everything does. The jackals and the hyenas a-screaming, and the other animals, the squawking of the baboons and the monkeys, the beetles, you can hardly hear yourself think; but in the distance let a lion roar, and every beetle will stop hollering.
See, everything’s afraid of him. Yet, there’s many things can kill him, but he’s recognized as the king amongst the beasts.
He said, “When the lion roars, who can but fear?” He said, “Then God has spoken, who can but prophesy?”
And that’s, I think, the condition meets that challenge again today. God has spoken. See? And we see the handwriting on the wall, so it’s very easy to prophesy and see that we’re at the end time.
69 And we’re seeing God, from every section of denominations, all the way from Catholicism, through all the Protestant churches, Buddhas and whatmore, from India, and whatevermore. He’s calling His people together, assembling them together.
And I’m very happy for that to see this day coming. Now, it’s a great day, one of the greatest privileges.
That if I had to, if I would’ve knowed before there was a world, when we were souls a part of God, that we are, for we were with Him before the foundations of the world. Because there’s only one form of Eternal Life, and that’s God. And we’re a part of Him. We was not so much that we would know and could think, and had a being; but we were in His thoughts of what we were, before the foundation of the world.
Because we are a part of Him, like my son is part of me, and I am part of my father, and so forth. We are sons and daughters of God, by His foreknowledge.
And back there, if I could’ve known as I know now, and could looked over the whole span of time, and He’d have said to me, “What time do you want to live?” I’d said this time right now, just the eve of the ending up of world history, and the oncoming of the Kingdom of God to be established in the earth. I think it’s the most glorious time of all ages is right now.
The message
We find out here that Israel is accused by the prophet, when God had ordained him and sent him out. They were accused of two major sins.
And we want to talk on those two things that they had done. And from that, we want to prosper by it.
Now, they had turned from God, the Fountain of living water, and had hewed themselves out cisterns. They had turned from the thing that God had given them, and had hewed themselves something that they had did themselves. And these cisterns, you notice, they were broken and were leaking.
Now, a broken cistern cannot hold water. It’ll leak out.
I was raised on a farm, and I know what an old cistern is, and the difficult we have with it.
And this leaking cistern is a very fine picture, I think, of this day, that when everything that we have tried to do, to get men together, get people together, get churches together, it has become always in the realm of intellectual tryings.
We have tried to make all the Methodists become Baptists, and vice versa, and the different denominations. And that was not God’s program to begin with.
God only has one meeting place. He said over there in the Book of Exodus, that, “I have chosen the place to put My Name, and that’s the only place that I’ll meet people.”
And He had chose a place to put His Name. And where He put His Name, that’s where He met Israel. He’s got a place that He meets His church today, and He chose that Name, and that Name is Jesus Christ. And there’s where He meets the true believer, when he’s in Jesus Christ. That’s where God chose to put His Name.
You say, “God’s Name?”
He said, “I came in My Father’s Name.” So that’s where God put His Name was in Christ. And in Christ is where we can all meet under the shed Blood, and there we have real, true fellowship.
God made His program at the beginning in the garden of Eden, where the place He would meet man, and that wasn’t upon the ground of intellectual understanding; if it had, Eve was exactly in line with His program.
But we know that her accepting Satan’s intellectual conception, “Surely, God will not,” but God said He would…
And so then He chose the place of redemption, and it was by Blood, and not by intellectual conception.
So we’re only beating the air, but it’s just human nature that people will try to do that. If we had time, we could break it down in many pieces, but I don’t want that button.
So, we’ll just try to make it as simple as possible, “Leaking cisterns.” And we find that it’s absolutely happened again; it’s the very picture of our age that we’re living in, of all of our trying.
And no disregards to every effort that any servant of God, that names the Name of Jesus Christ. He ought to be honored for just even naming His Name in reverence and respect.
And the great evangelistical systems that’s crossed the earth, and so forth, in these last days, I think, still we’ll never be able to get people in one heart until we get them underneath the Blood of Jesus Christ. That’s the only place that we’ll ever be safely.
Someone called me not long ago, from up in the east, and said, “Brother Branham, I hear you’ve moved out to Arizona, and you formed a place there where that there’s safety.” And as you know how the Message came, and the Lord told me what would happen in Alaska, and how down through California it would be, and it’s just been that way.
They said, “Now, if that’s shaking, and everything, where is the safety zone?”
I said, “There is one safety zone that I know of. That’s in Christ. For those that are in Christ, will the Lord bring with Him.” It’s the only place I know.
Now, Jeremiah was called also, “the weeping prophet.” And I believe what made this prophet weep, rather, was because him being a prophet (and the Word of the Lord comes to such) and seeing the people walk after their traditions, and thought they were all right, and no way at all to turn them.
For they was going straight to exile, because we know you reap what you sow, regardless of who you are, what you are.
And we as a nation have sowed, rather, and we’ve got to reap.
I’m speaking tomorrow, the Lord willing, at afternoon, on “Birth Pains”; and I touch that in there, that we cannot get by with it. We’ve got to reap what we sow.
And if God would let us get by with our perversion of Christianity today, and perverting in the people into these things that’s so-called Christianity, as Brother Moore once said, “He’d be morally obligated to raise up Sodom and Gomorrah and apologize for burning them up.”
That’s right, because God’s still just. And where unjustice has got; it’s behooving to His holiness and His Word that He makes people reap for what they sow, and we’ll have to do that.
Now, notice they had left Him, the Fountain of living waters, and had hewed themselves cisterns.
Now, there may be somebody here who wouldn’t understand what a cistern is. A cistern is a manmade tank that tries to take the place of a well. It’s something that somebody dug.
A cistern looks something like this
And how many knows what a cistern is? Fine. All right, a lot of country people here this morning.
I remember the old cistern at the place we lived, how it looked, and I was always afraid to drink from the thing. It was a manmade tank. And it never can be relied on. You cannot rely on a cistern.
Now, anything that man does is usually not very good. Just like the Lord set time into its cycle, and the earth turning; every year, every time it crosses, every day, every hour, and the sun setting, and it never fails. But the very best watches we can get, will fail many minutes in a month’s time, no doubt. But, you see, everything God does is perfect, and what man does is imperfect. So why accept what man does, when you can have perfect?
I’ve always said that about us Pentecostal people. See, we know, and we’re not out of the order of course, of God, we don’t believe; but we also know that among us we have people who try to impersonate the other fellow. That’s just human. They’ll try to do that. They did it in the Bible: one, “I’m of Paul,” and “I’m of Silas,” and so forth. But they tried to impersonate what someone else did or is doing.
Unique Third Pull Prayers
Showers of blessings,
Showers of blessings we need;
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
Jesus never fails,
Heaven and earth will pass away,
But Jesus never fails.
-
We shall pray: our Precious Heavenly Father We thank you so much as we continue in prayers in this fellowship. Such times are the best moments in our lives. The time we can live only doing your work and being close to you, with all hearts fellowshipping around your WORD. So we thank you for such moments and we pray that you be with us in our fellowship.
-
Father, if there’s anything wrong, we pray by Thy Grace may you remove it. Forgive us through your precious Blood that was shed on the cross that we be cleansed. We pray again that you may help us by the Holy Spirit that He may abide in us, so that we may have that fellowship in our hearts. He only can interpret the WORD and can show us the way, so that we may continue receiving your blessings. We also pray that your WORD of strength from your right hand may also abide in us, because that WORD is our Savior, and also our protector. Through that WORD we get salvation and victory. We thank you so much for that WORD; We believe we shall abide with it, and that you will also be pleased to put it in us.
-
We also pray that our hearts will rest in your perfect love because, when you anoint us with that perfect love, it is when we shall have a sweet fellowship in our midst. When we have that love in our midst, then the Holy Spirit will also be pleased to abide with us because, we shall be doing your will. So help us that we may continue abiding in your love.
-
Father, we pray to be led of Thee because when we are led of Thee, we shall not be found in error. Show us your way for us to walk in it, and fulfill your purpose at the right time in the right place. All that we think about we pray that you help us. Most times the enemy takes our mind and makes us wander away thus bringing a lot of battles in us. We pray that you help us so that our mind is captured by the Holy Spirit, so that the Holy Spirit controls everything we do. We pray that you help us in all things.
-
As we continue this night we put everything under you; we are ready to have fellowship with you up to anytime. So help us with your Holy Spirit in your fellowship that we may go forward. We also pray that you, as our Father, and we are your children, when we lack anything Thou knowest. As a Father, you know the need of your children. If they lack bread or water, you just know because you are our Father. So, Father, we pray that we may receive all that we are lacking. If it is Bread, you still can provide for us; if it is the Holy Spirit, you can fill us; if it is your love, you still can add to us. We believe you are our Father and you will help us thus.
-
We pray that you may remind us concerning your promise because sometimes we forget and take it lightly, but we pray that you help us to take the WORD with the most earnest heed. Help us to remember how you have called us, and the position you have given us, so that we may continue holding on until we shall win the battle.
-
We, as vessels, are here and we surrender into your hands that you may take over and go forward. Let your WORD fulfill all your will in us. We cannot say anything because you are our Savior and our Leader and our Captain, so we leave everything in your hands. We, as your servants we just let you have your own way.
-
We thank you, Heavenly Father, for your perfect leadership; for if we be led by the Holy Spirit, that is when we feel blessed; we feel we are so close to thee until we don’t know what to do. We pray that you help us continue abiding in you, so that we may find favor before you always. I want to pray for all these that you may help them to have a humble mind in your service; their hearts be clean as they move on. I pray this night, maybe there are some who are so needy of you; Father, thou knowest, others are lacking something, and still you know them. Others maybe they have not taken their position well, you know them and above all, you know our needs even before we ask or pray for them.
-
I know, Father, you have a purpose with every one of them. and we don’t have to say anything – you yourself know what you have to do with them. So, let each one of us as individuals find a way towards you, that we may be close to you all the time because we need thee. I pray earnestly, desiring more grace and more mercy from you as you have ordained that we walk by grace and we live by your mercy. I pray that this same grace and mercy be reachable to every child of El that is in this world and bless them. So I have prayed for all of them desiring your will to be done.
-
We have prayed giving thanks for all you have done. And to all that are here, we give thanks. The blessings that we receive from one another we also appreciate. As we feel blessed among other saints, Father, we also thank you. Help us that every one of us be a blessing to one another. Even if someone is just quiet but he can still be a blessing to others; oh, that there will be a perfume around us so that all those who are near us may get a blessing. We don’t have to speak, but just because of the atmosphere around us, we just become a blessing as we have known who you are. You don’t have to speak; many times you just come around us and we just feel like shouting. We just feel good and feel like jumping and yet you haven’t spoken but just coming close. So, even we being spiritual beings, we want just to be the same, so that when we move close to somebody - just get a presence around them, they just feel blessed.
-
Oh, the same way you do, we just want to be little things like you who can just produce the same effect: that will be a great blessing for us. If you can bless us that way, then when we sit together, the fire will be really burning up. The atmosphere will be so good, and it will be a wonderful congregation when we are seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Each one of us will be like a compartment in a honey-comb: Oh, that will be so sweet, all the place just to be a honey-comb.
-
I pray also for the little ones because they also need you, and you know their problems. Maybe there are some here in our midst who have not known you through the experience of salvation, I pray that you may help them to know you. If they will not know you, then they will not have eternal life. The only way for one to have eternal life is for them to know you.
-
We pray for some who don't know your purpose for their being here; they are just hanging in space; we pray for such that your hand of grace shall reach down from heaven and shake them a little bit, that they may realize they need an anchor and needs not to be suspended that way. If there is somebody who has lost the impact of first salvation; Oh, we feel sorry for such a state; therefore, I pray for such ones that you will remember them and shake them a little bit, so that they can realize that you can still come back to them that they may be anchored in you again.
-
We pray for such people with lots of grace in your presence. Those who are still in the race, maybe they need strength, may they receive it, so that they may move a little faster than the devil – they can leave the devil at least a step behind. That is my desire. Those who are doing better, may you polish them that they may do the best; then we shall still prosper.
-
May you graciously extend these things unto us as we have made them known unto you by this little prayer; because you are a loving Father and we have proved it already. We have no fear to extend such prayers unto you because we have proved that you do care for us. You are so loving and so simple until we can address you so confidently; and comfortably talk to you without fear or trembling, because yourself you have just come down in humility being just like one of us. We are so grateful for that and I present this prayer unto you, Heavenly Father, that you will add there your blessings; that it will yield some fruits that we have mentioned, we expect some results in whatever we have mentioned unto you.
-
We join together in this prayer because in your WORD you say, where two or three are gathered in your name and unite over a matter, even in heaven it will be so - when we agree over anything on this earth here. You said if you bind anything on earth, in heaven it is bound. So we are binding the devil who may be among us, and in heaven he is being bound. We want to stand and second this prayer here, and endorse this prayer together by binding the devil; binding his spirits which may be trying to sneak in our midst to destroy the fellowship, we bind him in your Name. You have shown those things which you have given us, and the devil is trying to take away from us, once we are overtaken; we enforce the restoration and we believe that in heaven also it is enforced.
-
Oh, you have given us such good promises like those ones and we believe them and use them in due time. If there is anything tonight which you can add to our experience, we are ready and just say, “Welcome!” Anything you can speak to us for the furthering of our faith and our experience with you, we say, “Welcome!” behold your servants are ready to embrace it! Our hearts are ready! Welcome and come and take your position. We know you are the King, the Master, so your position among us is high, just kind of lifted up above all: so may you come and take your position that you may rule and order your Kingdom in us. We welcome you happily and rejoices so much as we welcome the King of Kings. Come down and take your position, we are your little houses; come and dwell in your little shrines to perform your work.
-
I believe each one of us here is saying “Welcome”; their hearts are open to say, “Welcome”, and they are willing to say, “Welcome”; so heavenly Father be welcomed. You said I will dwell in them and walk in them. What a statement from the EL of gods! We receive it! We confirm it, we have seen you walk in us; we are eyewitnesses of you dwelling in us and walking in us! We always cherish every moment you are walking in us – leave alone all yourself, but just your feet when you just step forward, even if the devil was trying to snick in, as he hears your foot-steps, he flees away. Only the appearance of your Holy feet makes our hearts rejoice. Our houses are already in redemption and salvation.
-
Lord, may that be fulfilled; may that be an experience in us, may it become a reality in us. Because you’ve said, “Heaven is my throne and the earth my footstool.” Your feet are not like our feet – how beautiful are the Feet of YAH upon the mountains carrying good news! The messenger with good news, how beautiful are His feet? The messenger proclaiming liberty, how beautiful are His feet! So we welcome your feet!
-
Heavenly Father, if you can’t come here the whole of you, then we welcome your feet! Because your feet are always with us down here, so you don’t have to come down; your Feet can do the work, just come close to us and the enemy will go! He knows better than to stay here when those Feet are near. Tread upon him! We thank you so much. We ask all these believing in your Holy Name. Amen.
